Victor Davis Hanson: Teacher, Classicist Historian, Farmer. What an interesting set of occupations, eh? I really enjoy listening to him wax on. I've been following his commentary for nearly 8 years now and I must say he is the most enlightening modern scholar I've found to date.
This particular conversation starts out with a review of his recent published book, A War Like No Other, a historical account of the Peloponnesian War. The conversation later moves toward; human nature, culture, history, war, ideologies, comparing ancient truths to modern truths based around the Iraqi war. Bam!
